Track My Progress

Here you can keep track of where I've been on my weight loss journey...basically, I'll provide landmarks in my weight history.

June 2004 - Weight: 338 lbs, following my junior year of high school.  I was diagnosed with symptoms of Type 2 Diabetes, among them high blood sugar.

January 2007 - Weight: 383.8 lbs, during my sophomore year of college, the highest weigh-in of my life.  At 6 foot 6, that calculates as a Body Mass Index rating of 44.3, well into the "morbidly obese" category.

April 2007 - Weight: 360 lbs, after working out 5 days per week for several months, and slightly changing my diet, mainly eating more whole grain products.

August 2008 - Weight: 349 lbs, before beginning my final year of college in Michigan.  I had been working out semi-regularly during the summer, after maintaining my weight for about a year.

May 2009 - Weight: 355 lbs, following my graduation from The University of Michigan.

Late June 2009 - Weight: 346 lbs, at the beginning of my summer employment, performing at the Camp of the Woods resort in the Adirondacks of New York.

August 18, 2009 - Weight: 308 lbs, after my first reading of UltraMetabolism, on my drive out to New York from Ann Arbor, and subsequently working out 6 days a week for the 9 weeks I was in Speculator, NY.  Modified my eating habits to eliminate some "danger foods."

August 31, 2009 - Weight: 299 lbs, first weigh-in at less than 300 lbs!

October 30, 2009 - Weight: 283 lbs, reached 100 lbs of weight lost since my weigh-in in January 2007!

December 26, 2009 - Weight: 277 lbs, 106 lbs lost since 2007, finished out the year losing 78 lbs from May-December 2009.

January 7, 2010 - Weight: 287 lbs, first significant gain, after losing almost 80 lbs in the previous six months.

January 30, 2010 - Weight: 277 lbs, finished working off weight gained during the holiday season.

April, 2010 - Weight: 268 lbs, lowest weigh-in to date.

October 7, 2010 - Weight: 275 lbs, struggling with quality of eating, consistency of exercise.

December 26, 2010 - Weight: 283 lbs, net gain of 6 lbs from December 26, 2009.  Our wedding year took its toll on progress!

January 2, 2011 - Weight: 289.8 lbs, gained a solid 5-10 lbs. during the holiday season.

January 28, 2011 - Weight: 279.6 lbs, net loss of 10.2 lbs so far for the month of January!  Back on track, with both the exercise and diet.

February 4, 2011 - Weight: 278.0 lbs, net loss of 11.6 lbs so far for 2011 and 1.6 lbs for the month of February!

March 5, 2011 - Weight: 275.2 lbs, net loss of 14.6 lbs so far for 2011 and 1.8 lbs for the month of March!
